NBA Fights! Round One

Round One

The Malice at the Palace; Perhaps one of the greatest (yet most disgraceful) moments in the history of North American professional sports. With playoff vibes in the air, tension is high among NBA athletes and fans. This got me thinking… What are some of the best fights in NBA history? What players are we dying to see work out their differences with a few slugs?

Let’s take a look at some of the best fights we've seen in the NBA.

Shaq vs Charles Barkley
Two of the NBA’s great rebounders and competitors go at it.

Larry Bird vs Dr. J
Legen-wait for it-dary

Nuggets vs Knicks
Well known by Nuggets and Knicks fans, this brawl didn't do much for Carmelo Anthony’s already poor reputation.

Malice at the Palace
Metta World Peace, Ron Artest, whatever you want to call him, the man is crazy. Still, this is the most entertaining brawl in the history of NBA basketball.

Comment with your favorite fight in NBA history!

Now, what are some of the fights you would like to see? I went to Twitter to find out.

 Shane Battier vs Roy Hibbert

A bitter rivalry is beginning to emerge between the Miami Heat and the Indiana Pacers. Just days ago, Roy Hibbert called out Shane Battier for being a "dirty player."

Tyson Chandler vs Metta World Peace

Two defensive minded players brawling it out? I can dig.

Metta World Peace vs James Harden

The ultimate revenge fight. I love it.

Joakim Noah vs Chris Andersen

The Bulls, despite injury problem, fought hard against the champs. Here's an example. Also, a fight I would love to see.

Kenyon Martin vs Nate Robinson

6'8" Martin and fiery 5'9" Robinson. Phew.

Carmelo Anthony vs Kevin Garnett

I mean, KG did say some very interesting things about Melo's wife.

Kendrick Perkins vs Andrew Bynum

Two of the NBA's strongest big men. This could be a doozy.
